If you happen to read Dan Browns Da Vinci Code, you cannot surely get away with fascination and there is no cessation of the interests of your thoughts. Your schemata of the traditional belief of Christianity, specifically Catholicism which is based on the concept of the Holy Triad God the Father, Son and Spirit will be summoned to confusion. The plot of the novel propagates controversies touching the present conflict of people, scholars and scientific-minded people. Da Vinci Code seems like the modern counterpart of Charles Darwins Theory of Evolution basing merely how it has challenged modern believers to dispute the facts being displayed in this fictitious literary work of Dan Brown. If this book claimed to be real, the world will lose its present order. However, this is based on untrue status or make-believes, thus the facts inside the novel fiction are based on historical data turning them to lines to be stored in readers memories as possibilities, which would make the story more likely realistic and worth believing. Another matter about the book, its plot takes you to open self-made questions resulting to cognitive upheavals about the truth of Catholicism. The novel is both understanding the story literally and interpreting the issues made up by the book that they are merely fictitious and theres no reason to prove the truth over fiction.

The thoughts inside the book have provoked many, which prove how engaging they are to read and understand. Airtight issues were detailed in the story flow making it look like for real leading to a readers self debate of the heart and mind. Reading the story is like transforming yourself to a lawyer who happens to be yourself defending a defendant who are also your personal beliefs. The plot has dealt surely well with the hanging historical issues of the Catholic Church which led to inculcate the possibilities or what if’s though the plot is clearly based on inaccurate past beliefs or myths. What makes the author showcase his best is when each word of the story defines the novels title. Each word has surely coordinated so well to increase the mastery of the storys suspense and order.

The book is far from being a threat of the religion. It has even opened new perspectives about Catholicism, which widens our schemata about it. The challenge being put up on the book against the religion weakened not the faith because there are more miracles about life in this book than crashing down the grounds of the church. The book has enriched also our understanding about Jesus and His means of living in the past through certain issues being discussed, which marked not as the closure of possibilities to the public. When the Vatican took actions answering the questions raised by the book against the Church, it is normal, and it has benefited surely the believers of knowing more the faith. This thriller has surely mixed-up the world yet added order of our thinking towards our spiritual thought about our personal beliefs.

This enigmatic novel has raised numbers of questions.

There were two hundred book writings or over in the New Testament. How did the selection practice of the present books inside the said Testament was done? How could it be that many Pagan signages are used as bases of the Catholicisms establishment? Could it be that Mary Magdalene is Jesus wife since naturally Jesus is a Jew and His community believes not in monastic life for it prevents procreation of the chosen people?

There are more to ask on reading the novel which has led the world to an abrupt confusion of the faith considering the fictitious status of Dan Browns work. The order of the story and how the thought was organized challenged not the faithful as its objective but to puzzle the mind of the readers and seek for answers as they flip the next page. This is real enhancement of the mind as it defeats other prominent means of logical thinking.

Would you believe that Jesus had a child brought to Spain together with Magdalene as His wife and Joseph of Arithmea after his death?

Comic books have long been entertaining audiences and captivating the imaginations of a vast number of people. Before, comic books have been regarded as mere childrens books because they are favorite pastimes for kids and youngsters. However, over time, the idea of reading comic books to decline with age was put into trash. Although a lot of comic book readers started reading while they were still kids, many others still, due to its tremendous appeal, just recently got hooked to their favorite comic series.

The actual origin of comic books is not really known. However, a 40 page long comic book entitled The Adventures of Obadiah Oldbuck was the first ever comic book written in 1837. This comic is very far-off different from the comic books we have today. We cannot see the usual dialogues in word balloons but instead a text keyed in at the bottom of each pane to describe the story. Rudolphe Topffer was the creator of the comic strip in 1827.

The modern comic book, flared up in the 1930’s and one of the pre-launchers to publish 40 issues was The Whitman Publishing Company, in 1934. This was in black and white hardcover reprint. Famous Funnies was the first regularly published comic in the more identifiable format which memorably featured characters such as Joe Palooka, Buck Rogers and Mutt and Jeff. By 1938, superhero took a strong grip with one of the comic industrys big names, Max C. Gaines, brought Superman to Dell Comics publishing, which, still exist up to this day.

So whats with comic books that made its industry earn multi billion dollars per annum? Comics, as the name implies, have the elements of humor and witticism packed into them. They present an idea or a story with the aid of fancy cartoons and graphical illustrations together with written dialogues and comments. They catch attention because they deal with diverse subjects in a light and hilarious manner. However, it is a wrong impression that all comics are humorous because a lot of them are based on serious subjects filled with drama and action. It has become excessively become popular not only to its many interesting fictional characters but also to its exciting plots. The various characters lure the readers from all age groups which catered for different stories and situations. They are able to relate with the characters as well as learn from how they deal with the circumstances in life. Soon, social issues and other sensitive topics were then created.

Huge enterprises have dominated the comic book world for decades now and with the advent of many forms of entertainment such as the television, video games, CDs and the Internet, the comic book craze seems to persist. To prove, Hollywood blockbusters such as Superman, Spiderman, Batman, X-men and Punisher are some successful superhero in their reel version also grabbing audiences that don’t read comics. Comic book stores also got its charm as they can be found anywhere. As a matter of fact, you can already shop for comic books online. Comics too are now available in the digital format.

Comics had a remarkable impact in every sector of our entertainment from television series to movies and from video games to leisure parks. In fact, unlike before, they are no longer censored. Literacy necessitates both familiarity and knowledge. So, if you want to be a comic literate, you must be accustomed with comics and be able to read the words and the pictures and how they link together. And if you are interested in writing a comic book, familiarity plays an important role. You should have a good understanding of how it works, the pacing, the rules and the format.

People today are intelligent to think that comic books can be of great value too, and, even if it can take out a bit of their time and money, it doesnt matter because they believe comic books are not just some shameful attempts to cut short in telling a good book.

As a matter of fact, a lot of not so good books are readily available in the market and some publishers dont even care if it is a good book or not simply because it doesnt matter anyway. People nowadays dont read as much as they used to during those times when reading was still the chief leisure activity. It seems that along with time, people have lost their passion to read and gone are the days that people would sit and spend hours reading books. Perhaps the readers of today still have the passion of reading but dormant within themselves, and they just need a tickle to discover what goes well with their interests to find meaning with every reading.

There are basically three types of a reader namely simple, gentle and intelligent reader. The Simple reader is somebody who reads without any exact reason and simply reads just to make use of his spare time. Usually, he doesnt read a book for the second time. The Gentle reader is somebody who turns to books as a means of pleasure. The Intelligent reader is somebody who reads books to get acquainted with facts because he is thirsty to learn more.

Reading has been very favorable mentally, spiritually and socially. Here are some of the reasons why you, your child, the society and the world as a whole can benefit from reading:

If exercise is for the body, then reading is for the mind. Reading fuels your mind and keeps it sharp and fresh. Most importantly, reading stimulates growing up instead of growing old.

Reading regularly helps you to stay focused mainly because the mind is trained with greater levels of concentration.

Reading is a great way to broaden your vocabulary and decipher new words and phrases that you frequently encounter in everyday conversations. If you have an extensive vocabulary, you can exceed the average reading and speaking ability while augmenting your conversational skills. Reading also helps with your spelling too.

With just a minimal time of reading for 30 minutes a day, you can be abreast with a wide variety of writing styles.

Developing the habit of reading will make a person more confident when faced with different types of information to comprehend. They are assured that they will be able to engage in conversations on a wide variety of topics in an intelligent, informed manner.

The habit can even become a healthy addiction.

Indulging in reading is a great avenue for acquiring consistent and enhanced learning.

Reading helps you keep updated with what is happening around you. It makes you sensitive to global issues.

Reading is a good example for the kids to follow. The best readers in class are those learners who always see their parents’ reading. Well-read persons are also most likely the people who are fortunate to have parents who are diligent enough to make an effort to show to their kids the importance of reading. They are the people who are great achievers in their own field and excel well in school and in the workplace.

Sometimes, reading a good story tends to make you forget a stressful day at work, especially if reading can bring you to far away lands with the use of an imaginative mind.

Regardless of age, reading helps form a mutual bond with co-readers. It makes you feel connected with each other every time you talk about the same book you both commonly read.

Children and teenagers who love reading, have creative minds and comparatively higher IQs than non-readers that is why parents are recommended to inculcate into their childrens mind, the value of reading.

Reading is the keystone upon which other academic skills are built. Subjects such as history and science heavily rely upon the ability to read, synthesize, analyze and process information.

Reading opens the doors to the astonishing world of books. Through reading, you have the chance to explore the world, relived significant historical events and experience many other wonderful adventures.

Reading can provide a well-rounded education despite the lack of opportunity to have a formal education.

Books are the primary gears of learning while the library is the most important of all laboratories. Every book is stuffed with some points of wisdom and interesting teachings that if you dont make it work for you, then there’s no point of reading a great content.

A romantic drama plot by bestseller author Nicholas Sparks, A Walk to Remember is a must-read book for those who are into love stories and feel-good book. Sparks, in this book, stirred the minds and hearts of the readers and inspired them to believe in the magic of love.

A Walk to Remember talked about two opposite characters Jamie Sullivan and Landon Carter and how their relationship with each other developed into something which they did not expect in the first place. Jamie is a daughter of a pastor and is always the point of joke in school because of her nerdy and dorky personality. Landon, on the other hand, is the typical bad boy who belongs to the famous crowd and whose good looks make him every girls dream. Their love story started when Landon was punished in their school and was obliged to join the schools drama club where Jamie was a member. Even though, he did not like Jamie, Landon found himself getting interested with Jamie and, eventually, fall for her. Jamie, for her part, was hesitant to accept the love of Landon because aside from the idea that they are both from different worlds, Jamie was suffering from a fatal illness. Despite the odds, both chose to be with each other and got married. Jamie, however, died.

A Walk to Remember is your typical love story. What makes this book so charming is the way how Sparks conveyed the story to his readers, making it so heartwarming and real. Sparks was able to touch reality when he presented the typical high school setting wherein there are the popular kids and the unpopular ones. He conveyed the simple story of Jamie and Landon in a very extraordinary way by presenting how someone gets tamed by love, regardless of who they are – in this story, Jamie as a dying person and Landon as the bad boy and popular kid in town. Furthermore, Sparks put more human touch in this book by including issues which usually high school kids are confronted with such as family problems. A Walk to Remember basically showed the life of a youth bounded with young love, peer pressure and family problems.

In this book, it can be deemed also that Nicholas Sparks has remained one of the best novelists nowadays. In his book, A Walk to Remember, he was able to put the story of a real love in creatively written words in a very outstanding manner of putting reality in a fictional mean. Sparks broad imagination and great talent in the craft of writing can be construed in the two films created out from his two books the one was The Notebook and the other one was this A Walk to Remember. Sparks is truly a royalty when it comes to romantic stories.

If one wants to be in love or simply just cry, the book A Walk to Remember is a sure thing for it. Do not expect any suspense plot or a highly informative and analytical book. A Walk to Remember is a simple and lovely book that can take you away from the harsh realities of everyday life, and can take you to the wonderland of love and miracles.
